U-Pick Apples at The Apple Shed in Newark, Wayne County NY

Our orchard hayrides are a tradition for many families.  Families will be able to choose whether or not they’d like to use the hayride to get to our u-pick orchard, or just as a relaxing ride to enjoy the beauty of Fall. On Fall weekends, guests can also enjoy our hard cidery, Old Goat Cidery OGC opened on June 2, 2017 and offers 6 different flavors of hard cider. Our Country Café serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11am-2pm and Saturday & Sundays from 11am – 3pm. We offer specialty sandwiches, salads and subs made with farm fresh ingredients.

U-Pick Apples start the weekend of September 19th & 20th with our Gala Apples ready for you to pick. Gala prices for u-pick – Peck Bag $10 and 1/2 Bushel Bag $18. Come to the Barn across the road from The Apple Shed, buy your wagon ride ticket and Apple Picking Bag. Take a ride to and from the orchard and enjoy picking your own apples in the heart of Wayne County. Please remember that masks will be required on wagons due to the lack of social distancing.

We have 2 other weekends for Apple Picking as well. September 26th & 27th will be Honeycrisp Apples. Peck Bag is $15 and 1/2 Bushel Bag is $25. Our last weekend for Apple Picking will be October 3rd & 4th. Empire and Cortland Apples will be available. $10 Peck Bag and $18 Bushel Bag.

You don’t need to pick apples if you would just like the wagon ride. Wagon rides are $3 for 10 & under (2 and under free) and $4 for adults. To get to the orchard to pick apples, you must ride a wagon. It is not included in the price of apples. This is a weather permitting activity.

Extra weekend added! October 10th & 11th U-Pick apples will be Red Delicious & Golden Delicious. $10 Peck Bag and $18 Bushel Bag.
