Fresh Fruit

For more than 100 years, our family has been growing quality fresh fruit on the land surrounding The Apple Shed.  There’s nothing like the juice-dripping-off-your-chin experience of eating fresh fruit from the farm; we love to share that experience with our friends and customers!  It all starts in June with strawberry season.

Strawberries (June): We kick off The Apple Shed season mid-June with juicy and delicious strawberries, available both pre-picked and u-pick. U-pick hours are limited, so please give us a call for specific hours.

Sweet Cherries (Early July): Available for a very short time, we grow about 2 acres of sweet cherries. Our cherries are dark in color and are very sweet. We also offer locally-grown frozen, pitted tart cherries for pies and juicing.

Blueberries (Mid- to Late-July): Fresh-picked homegrown blueberries are a fairly recent addition to our farm;  as the bushes mature we intend to offer u-pick blueberries.  Stay tuned!

Peaches (July – September): Peach season kicks off mid-July with sweet and juicy eating peaches. Peaches suitable for canning ripen in early-August and continue through mid-September.

Fresh Apples (August – December): Grown in our more than 100-acre orchard, we offer nearly 30 different apple varieties. Apple harvest begins in late-August.

Fresh Apple Cider: We press our own apples into sweet, delicious fresh apple cider. We’ve been perfecting the blend for more than 40 years!
